I have used these for cleaning my mountain bike a few times now, and the best I can say is that they work quite well. stiff bristles, solid handles, easy to clean. What more does one want from cleaning brushes? The variety and simplicity of brushes drew me to this set over others like the Park Tool. Chain, drive, wheel, tires, frame, and other parts all get clean with these.I purchased this brush kit on an impulse. I needed only the "tooth" brush and for only a few dollars more four more brushes were mine. I use brushes for numerous home and garage tasks. Pedros is a name that I have come to trust as well. (Best tire levers on the market IMO.) However. These brushes don't seem to be up to parr. They are not the same quality. They seem to be degrading too easily. The bristles are fraying. The plastic seems softer and easier to chip.I would hesitate to recommend these brushes to a friend.This is a great set of brushes. The cassette brush, frame brush, and cone brush are must haves but the basting type brush doesn't really have much of a use (especially if you have a chain scrubber tool). The cone brush is worth it's weight in gold in that it allows you to reach all the hard to reach places you usually have to remove your rear wheel and chain to access, such as in between the chainstay and crankset.Before I ordered this set I called Pedro's to see if they'd replace the frame brush if this kit was one of the older versions that did not contain the tampico bristle (and much softer) new one. They said they would, no questions asked.Great kit and great service from Pedro's.I opened the bag it shipped in and the big paint brush was loosing bristles and I can with very light pressure pull more bristles out from the tip. Go to a auto parts store or hardware store and assemble a Better kit. I haven’t tried it But I feel like the big square brush and the long twisted wire will scratch my bike frame so I’ll use for tires only, my old brush is way softer. No thanks, will never order from pedros again. The only reason I won’t send it back and I gave them 2 stars was cause of the cassette brush. Very dissatisfied overall.The brushes work well for the novice. They do the job as needed and am pleased with them.As good as one would expect from China. It is a good assortment of brushes for the bike, but I can tell they won’t last beyond a couple of years. Although it is nice to have tools that work for bike specific washing.Well-made set of brushes with a good assortment. The construction is pretty durable and the bristles are stiff enough for the most part. I had hoped the frame and long-reach brushes would have had stiffer bristles so they could be more useful. Unfortunately they're a bit too soft for removal of caked-on mud...not a big deal though. Great price for this 5 piece set! You won't be disappointed.I have had the Brush Kit for a while. I find that I only use one or two of the brushes. Most of the brushes are actually too big for the hard to reach areas on a bicycle, such as behind the brakes or at the bottom of the stem near the derailleur. A kit with smaller brushes for a more detailed cleaning would be more helpful for a bicycle since the rest of the bike can be cleaned with a rag, cloth or sponge. It is helpful that it has its own sac, to keep all of the brushes together.
