I've had my foldies for 9 months and have taken them around the world. They are still my favorite pair of sunglasses and I get compliments all the time, very stylish. I love that I can fold them up and toss them in my backpack. I always have them whenever I want them!I have always had the Ray Bans and I liked them. However, I scratched them when I was hiking. When I was looking to replace them I saw the Foldies and took a chance on ordering them. I like them as well as my Ray Bans.As a grad student my expenses are high and why pay for the name brand when you can get the same quality at a more reasonable price.I really wanted the Ray ban folding sunglasses but didn't want to pay Ray ban prices, so these Foodies seemed like a reasonable middle ground. These are definitely the most expensive pair of sunglasses that I have owned so far, but I really like how they told down and come in a sturdy carrying case. I also like how many colors that are available for the frames and lens. So far they seem durable and the lenses have not scratched yet, but I have only worn them twice. The fit snuggly on my face, but I prefer that. Frames don't look too big on my face, and typically this is something that I struggle with when trying to buy sunglasses for myself.I have been buying foldable sunglasses for a while and have had two: 1 from Banana Republic and 1 from Foldies. I lost my Banana Republic sunglasses and bought Foldies in replace. I was very happy to have these. They are truly handy and the price is fair. I had these for a year now and are going strong with little wear-and-tear. Durability is awesome! I had not ever had to use a screw-driver to fix a loose screw.Pros: Glare protection - keeps eye away from eye-strain. UV Protection from sun rays.Cons: material is not the best because the outer-coating peels off from excessive usage. Not scratch resistant. (-1 star)It’s a nice pair of sunglasses but it hugs the face and rest just a bit more harshly on the nose than my liking. Almost feels like a cross between a child and adult sized glasses. For whatever reason I am awful at keeping shades. If I’m not losing them they’re breaking on me from the amount of use I put on them. These foldies fix both of those issues as the portability allows me to pocket them on my person better which keeps me from leaving them somewhere. And the foldable design actually makes them much more robust at all the joints which keeps them from breaking in my pocket if I sit on them.Foldable sunglasses in my pocket? Heck, yeah. Love the glasses (well-built, strong, durable hinges, metal frame beneath plastic, dark and polarized lenses). Disappointed with the case: it's only plastic--durable enough, except for it's hinge... about two weeks into usage (not particularly heavy) and the case hinge is splitting. I'll be applying a man's best friend soon -- duct tape -- so that I can keep using the case. So, a 5 for the glasses and a 2 for the case. Overall, I'd recommend them.UPDATE: Foldies got in touch and promptly (less than a week) sent me a replacement case--almost identical but stronger at the hinge. It's been 3 weeks in and out of the cargo shorts. No problem. I'm increasing my rating to 5 stars. Future users--the case fits the glasses tightly. If you leave the cloth in the case wrap it around the glasses each time, otherwise it can bunch up and potentially overstretch the case.I saw these after buying a pair of Ray Bans of similar design. The Ray Bans did not have the polarized lens on the matte black frames that I wanted so I rolled the dice and bought these Foldies.Long story short.. been a few months of use and I couldn't be happier, zero issues.I returned the Ray Bans.VFold nicely lovely caseIt was faulty
