This works great for laying out a surface to clean on. It is pliable to roll up for when not in use. Easy to clean. Nice accurate gun assembly picture on the surface. Large enough to hold all the typical light assembly/cleaning job parts and your cleaning implements.Fantastic mat for anybody who likes to keep their beloved (and expensive!) HK USPs in clean order. I go shooting every week, and shoot off about 500-800 rounds a trip, which means my pistol is properly dirty by the time I come home. This mat allows me to keep my pistol on it while it's soaking in CLP prior to cleaning, and doesn't bleed through the rubber bottom. A quick wipe off the top of this mat after cleaning the pistol keeps it clean, and I've had this mat for some eight months now, and it's still holding strong; this is despite the fact that I've had copper brushes on it, which can often stick to surfaces and prick holes in them. It's held up to solvents, gun oils, leftover GSR, and whatever sodas I spilled on it accidentally. Every couple of pistol cleanings, I like to hand wash this mat out with some mild soap, and I can see using it for at least another two years. Great product!This is a handgun cleaning mat that I bought as a novelty. I typically use old towels for cleaning mats if I need them. While a pistol doesn't have a ton of extra parts I need more space than this mat offers. I believe that the larger mat with the AR-15 on it would be better for cleaning my pistol, but then it would NOT be big enough to clean my AR-15, in my opinion. Also, the assembly drawing of the H&K USP is interesting but a little crude in places. That's fine, I didn't expect it to be anything but novel. Just a warning. This isn't an extremely technical drawing but is close enough and is certainly interesting. I'm now using the mat as a large mouse pad and I love it for that application.The bottom line is, I like it and I'm not at all unhappy about purchasing it, I just wouldn't use it as an actual cleaning mat myself only because I know I would still have to have something else laid out to put things on since this is a bit small for my tastes.Good mat very big and very helpful if you have the same gun it appear on the mat. Very thing also, so you can carry out if you want it. Also the dirt doesn't attach to it, so after cleaning your gun, you can clean the mat with a paper towel and it will still looks like brand new. I use a little wood table to clean my gun so this fit perfectly on the it so I can relax and clean my gun knowing the table will not be affected or damaged by the gun or it's parts.I recommend the product if you have an H&K so it helps you on how to disassembly your gun without any kind of expertise. But remember to use the safety precautions when using or cleaning any type of gun.Nice mat. But let's be honest. It is more for style than utility. If you own any of the guns they make these cleaning mats for- you should probably already know how to disassemble/assemble them. But they are cool looking mats and add a bit of style to your cleaning station.The size is decent. I'd prefer them to be an inch or two longer in length and width- but it is acceptable as is. They are nice enough that you kind of don't want to get them dirty. Go figure.Bought this for my son. It's a great cleaning mat with easy to read information/instruction on top. Keep all the dirty on the mat and off your table.This Tekmat is really well made and it's quite suitable for cleaning since it can fit well with any pistol firearm that you personally own and work on in your spare time to clean. I've never put it through the wash yet after spilling gun oil on it but I will do so later on if it's dirty enough.Decent mat, thinner than others and no stitched border. There's a reason its cheaper than most, but it works and the print is clear. I don't know how well it will hold up yet, but for the price, I'm happy.Good quality, sticky back helps prevent mat from sliding and the graphics were clear and legible.
