Was a bit surprised no one had reviewed this product yet. I got this kit for my some of my cap and ball revolvers (3 Remington 1858s in 5" and 8" barrels, .44 reproduction 1851 Colt Navy, and 1860 Colt Army) And I am pleased with the quality of this portable kit. Just stick it in your pocket or possibles bag with some solvent and leave the complete cleaning kit at home when you go to the range. Its got all the basics: a bore mop, a bronze and nylon brush, and a patch pusher. the whole thing stores in the base of the handle. I found the 2 piece brass rod long enough to reach all the way down to the cylinders. This product doesn't just have to be used with historic firearms either, its perfectly usable in modern .45, and .44 caliber guns. One thing to note: don't use the bore mop until you have totally finished cleaning the barrel. I would recommend this product and it helped me lighten my bag when I go to the range
