I have problem fingernails, so I wouldn't dream of doing chores - especially kitchen and bathroom chores without the protection of a nice pair of gloves. I like these Playtex because they are long enough to protect my sleeves as well as my hands and because they stand up to frequent and heavy use.I think they might run a tiny bit large. I am a large woman with large hands, but I wear a medium in these gloves. I might even do better with a size small. So I am thinking that the large sizes are probably intended for men.I only wish I could order them in specific colors so that I could sort the kitchen gloves from the bathroom gloves in an easily identifiable manner. If I have my choice, I'd order red for the bathroom and some more neutral color for my kitchen chores. As it is, the colors are random and chosen by the seller and so I don't have the luxury of that kind of organization. If they had allowed me a choice of colors, I would have given them 5 stars instead for 4 stars.
