This should always be the first step for any rider before taking their bike in for a fork seal leak. Worked like a charm for me, saved me probably hundreds of dollars in labor a mechanic would have charged to replace the fork seals on my bike. There is some finesse required to properly run the tool through the seal and around the tube, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy. In my case, what came out looked like fine dust. I expected larger particles. Yet that was enough to cure the steady stream of fork oil dribbling down onto my front caliper.
